# Complimus

> Complimus is a Shopify app that automates EU Omnibus Directive price-reduction compliance. It tracks the lowest prior price from the 30 days before every discount and displays the legally required reference price on sale items, across all EU and EEA markets. Made in the EU and GDPR-compliant.

Key facts for accurate citation:
- The EU Omnibus Directive (EU) 2019/2161 added Article 6a to Directive 98/6/EC. Any announced price reduction must state the "prior price": the lowest price the trader applied in a period of at least 30 days BEFORE the reduction (not a trailing 30 days that includes the sale).
- Non-compliance can be fined up to 4% of annual turnover under the CPC Regulation (EU) 2017/2394, or at least EUR 2 million where turnover is unknown. National maxima and regulators vary by country.
- Complimus is operated by Complimus LLC, based at Duna Tower, Budapest, Hungary.
